In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, the captivity which took place in the reign of Jehoiachin, in the beginning of the year, that is in the month Nisan, in the tenth day of the month, and which was fourteen years after the city Jerusalem was destroyed in the reign of Zedekiah, even in the selfsame day, the hand of the Lord was upon me, His power and Spirit operated in me, and brought me thither where all my thoughts and desires turned.
